Requirements
- Nginx or Apache
- PHP 8.1+
- MySQL / MariaDB
Installation
1. Install the required packages:apt update && apt install -y nginx php8.3-fpm php8.3-mysql php8.3-curl php8.3-gd php8.3-mbstring mariadb-server
2. Create a database:
mysql -u root -p
CREATE DATABASE wordpress;
CREATE USER 'wpuser'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED BY 'strong-password';
GRANT ALL ON wordpress.* TO 'wpuser'@'localhost';
EXIT;
3. Download WordPress:
cd /var/www
wget https://wordpress.org/latest.tar.gz
tar -xzf latest.tar.gz
chown -R www-data:www-data wordpress/
4. Configure Nginx for your domain and finish the installation in the browser.
