To complete the benchmark set after the storage and CPU/RAM tests, we also ran a real iperf3 test between two temporary LXC clones of the VPS profiles. The goal here is not a marketing number, but to see what the internal network shows between two instances under parallel traffic.
Test environment
- Start-like: 2 vCPU, 4 GB RAM
- Power-like: 4 vCPU, 8 GB RAM
- iperf3 with 4 parallel streams for 10 seconds
- both directions were measured, not just one

Direction Aggregate throughput Retr
---------------------------------------------------------------
Power-like -> Start-like ~30.3-30.5 Gbit/s 0
Start-like -> Power-like ~18.8 Gbit/s 0What this shows
- there are no retransmits in either direction, which is a good sign of stability
- the internal network shows high throughput between the instances
- there is a visible asymmetry between the two directions, so it would not be fair to publish only the stronger result
- this kind of test is useful for backup, replication, internal traffic between services and storage-heavy scenarios
Practical conclusion
- a disk benchmark alone is not enough if the workload also has heavier internal traffic
- CPU, RAM, storage and network together give a more realistic picture of a VPS profile
- the asymmetric result is useful because it shows real behaviour, not a smoothed-out marketing benchmark
