How to enable HTTPS (SSL) on WordPress

After you install WordPress, you must add an SSL certificate.

1. Install Certbot

sudo apt update
sudo apt install certbot python3-certbot-apache -y

🌐 2. Add your domain

Make sure the domain points to your VPS (an A record to its IP address).

⚡ 3. Generate the SSL certificate
sudo certbot --apache

👉 It will ask for:

the domain (example: yourdomain.com)
whether to redirect HTTP → HTTPS (choose YES)
