When you get your VPS, you will receive an email with the IP address and access details. You connect over the SSH protocol.

Windows

Use one of these options:

• PowerShell / CMD (built into Windows 10/11): ssh root@your-ip-address
• PuTTY — a free SSH program: https://putty.org

Linux / Mac

Open a terminal and type:

ssh root@your-ip-address

On the first connection

1. Enter the password from the email
2. Change the password right away: passwd
3. Update the system: apt update && apt upgrade -y
